Darryl Whittaker joined the soon-to-open Oasis Hotel here as a sales manager.
The 300-room hotel will open Nov. 1 near Montgomery, Ala. The property will include an 80,000-square-foot conference center, which is slated to debut in late 2010.
Whittaker previously served as a sales manager for the Tutwiler Hotel in Birmingham. Among many career highlights for the hospitality veteran was a Manager of the Year award from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for two straight years.
