Cheryl Ebersole, the long-time executive director of the Allegheny Mountains CVB here, resigned Sept. 11, three days after being placed on administrative leave with pay, Altoona, Pa.’s local newspaper, the Altoona Mirror, reported.
No officials at the CVB disclosed information as to why Ebersole resigned after serving at the bureau for nearly two decades.
Board President Jim Kuhn said he had no further comment on the matter. Solicitor David Andrews previously said the leave was a personnel matter and would not elaborate further.
“We are turning our attention toward the future and a new chapter in the ongoing story of the Allegheny Mountains Convention & Visitors Bureau,” Kuhn said in the written statement. “It is an exciting time of change, and we are focused on the journey ahead of us.”
