Host Hotels purchased the Helmsley Hotel in midtown Manhattan for $313.5 million and announced that Starwood Hotels and Resorts will be the new manager for the property once the transaction closes in March.
Host also stated that Starwood will initially operate the hotel as an unbranded property until it is converted to the Westin brand next year, following renovations of the guest rooms and meeting space.
