Philly Center in Labor Negotiations

The managers of Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center are in negotiations with local labor unions concerning training and work-rule issues at the facility, according to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The facility is scheduled to debut an $786 million expansion in early March. A recent state-commissioned report concluded that the city had lost 400,000 room nights in business largely due to labor costs at the convention center.
