Chicago CTB Announces Key Appointments

 The Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau (CCTB) President and CEO Don Welsh today announced the promotions of Mark Tunney to Senior Vice President of Sales and Services; Jack Johnson to Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Partnerships; and Rose Horcher to Vice President of Client Services.

“Every decision we make will be viewed through the prism of what will drive more value for our customers and more business to Chicago and Illinois,” said Welsh.  “Mark, Jack and Rose have been a vital part of the Bureau’s success over the last several months and will be integral to our continued success moving forward.” 



Mark Tunney, promoted from Managing Director of Convention Sales, will oversee convention sales and client services. Tunney started with the Bureau in 2007 bringing more than 22 years of sales and marketing experience within the hotel and convention and tourism industry.



“Mark’s leadership and experience will be critical in helping Chicago attract more corporate gatherings and pursuing other business opportunities,” said Welsh. “Sharpening our sales force is our top priority and insuring we have the most productive team in the marketplace will be key to producing results.” 



Jack Johnson, promoted from Vice President of External Affairs, will oversee membership initiatives and the strategic marketing partners program while also continuing to manage the bureau’s government outreach efforts.



Rose Horcher, promoted from Managing Director of Client Services, will take the lead managing day-to-day client services working in tandem with the convention sales team to insure customer value and satisfaction. Horcher has been with the CCTB since 2006 bringing more than 22 years of meeting experience.
