WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Capitol Hill Suites—which sits just two blocks from the U.S. Capitol building—has expanded its event space, made other upgrades and changed its name to the Capitol Hill Hotel.
“Our new name reflects the more upscale product now offered by the hotel. This is just the beginning of an exciting series of welcomed changes to the property,” said Ian Harvey, general manager of Capitol Hill Hotel.
Offering 152 guest suites that are 50 percent larger than typical Washington D.C. hotel rooms, the Capitol Hill Hotel has updated the technology in—and look of—its meeting spaces. The property’s boardroom can accommodate up to 12 attendees; there’s The Parlor, a 415 square foot room; The Salon, a 700 square foot space, and The Library, a 650 square foot space with lush couches. A fifth meeting room, spanning 250 square feet and named The Independent, is undergoing renovations and is expected to be complete in September.
A new website, www.capitolhillhotel-dc.com, has gone live to showcase the rebranding of Capitol Hill Hotel. The final renovation phase, which includes the makeover of the 152 all-suite guestrooms, is expected to be completed by early 2013.
