ORLANDO
Rosen Hotels & Resorts is planning to kick-off Independence Day by freeing meeting planners and attendees from having to pay for Internet access.
Guests at the company’s three convention hotels—the 1500-room Rosen Shingle Creek, the 1,334-room Rosen Centre and 800-room Rosen Plaza—will have free internet service—both wireless or hardwired—in guest rooms and public areas of the hotels beginning July 4.
The costs will not be reflected in a resort fee or otherwise hidden said President & COO Harris Rosen.
"To us, free means free, and we thought Independence Day was the perfect time to announce this liberating change for our guests,” he said. “It gives them the freedom to connect on their own terms, in the privacy of their guest rooms, without worrying about financial constraints or additional charges."
