DELAVAN, Wis.
A $2 million renovation at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan has been completed. The 134-year-old resort—on the shore of Lake Delavan in Walworth County—has been under restoration since it reopened in 2011.
The 271-room property was closed in December 2010 after defaulting on a $51.9 million loan. The most recent upgrades were made to the 33-room, 15-suite Lakewood complex, formerly known as Woodlawn. They include the addition of an outdoor pool and patio and enhancements to create coastal-themed rooms.
"The addition of the Lakewood complex to our existing luxury lodge rooms enhances Lake Lawn Resort as an exclusive destination for corporate retreats and group meetings," said general manager Dave Sekeres.
Other work at the 250-acre resort has included updating and expanding the Timber Spa, upgrading the ice cream shop and deli, remodeling the golf pro shop, replacing outdated artwork, and expanding water sports activities at the marina.
