The Bonaventure Resort & Spa has become the latest property to be managed by Benchmark Hospitality International.
The change in management at the Weston-based resort, formerly the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa, follows the recent purchase of the property by Hospitality Investing Group LLC. The West Palm Beach-based group acquired the property in a $67.5 million deed in lieu of foreclosure.
In July, the resort at 250 Racquet Club Road warned the state of Florida of 283 possible layoffs as a result of the new ownership.
Hospitality Investing Group plans a multi-million dollar renovation of the property that is to include improvements to the existing conference center, extensive renovations of public spaces, enhanced meeting technology, an expansion of the resort’s main restaurant and the addition of 4,800 square feet, said Partner Ari Pearl in a statement.
The Bonaventure Resort & Spa is the sixth property in Florida to be managed by Benchmark Hospitality, which also manages ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa.
