Massive Vegas Resort Rebrands

LAS VEGAS

Hilton Worldwide is returning to the Las Vegas Strip with the opening of Tropicana Las Vegas - a DoubleTree by Hilton in January 2013.

The group signed a franchise agreement with Tropicana Las Vegas, which will still own and operate the resort.

The 35-acre resort—which has undergone a recent $200 million makeover—includes 1,600 guestrooms, four restaurants, a spa, an entertainment compound, and a conference center. The property now boasts a 50,000-square-foot casino and 60,000 square feet of event space.

DoubleTree by Hilton operates over 310 hotels in 23 countries. The new addition marks Hilton’s return to the strip after a 14-year absence.
