Panhandle Property Revamps Meeting Space and More

DESTIN, Fla.

The 598-room Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has completed a $5 million renovation involving its meeting space, accommodations and fine-dining restaurant.

The resort boasts more than 32,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space that now features a new design inspired by the resort’s beachfront setting. Natural stones and tiles, a casually sophisticated palette of indigos and sand dollar whites, modern lighting, and cheerful accents combine to create an air of relaxed Florida charm throughout the resort’s two ballrooms, breakout space, intimate boardroom and pre-function areas. The 9,504-square-foot Emerald Ballroom, 5,600-square-foot Coral Ballroom, 20 breakout rooms and pre-function space have all been enhanced with an array of new light fixtures, custom Kinon finished pilasters, Axminster carpet, wall treatments and fresh paint. The renovation also incorporated fresh technology into new teleconferencing facilities in the boardroom and touch screen lighting in the ballrooms.

Seagar’s Prime Steaks and Seafood – Destin’s only restaurant distinguished with the AAA Four Diamond Award rating – has also received a facelift, with a sophisticated new décor. Best known for its steaks and seafood, the 150-seat restaurant’s new interior color palette features coastal soft blues, greens, platinum and sandy hues, set in contrast to traditional Brazilian cherry and mahogany accents.

Other new design details include a unique fire-and-water element serving as a welcoming focal point, renovated lounge and a new semiprivate dining room created to showcase Seagar’s 600 label-wine list.

Updates have also been made to the common space of the 400-room Emerald Tower, which houses the deluxe junior suites featuring bunk beds and a separate media center for kids.
