ROSEMONT, Ill.
IHG, the parent company of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, has named InterContinental Chicago O’Hare’s Bobbi Chiodo as its North American Concierge of the Year for 2013. This latest accolade follows Bobbi’s induction into the Chicago Concierge Hall of Fame last year.
A venerable concierge for over 20-years, Bobbi was singled out from InterContinental’s extensive chain of North American properties because, according to management, she’s “generous with her time and efforts, mentors those in need, and genuinely cares for guests.”
Bobbi, a Wicker Park native says: “It boils down to me wanting my guests to love this great city like I do. My biggest compliment is when a guest tells me they’re coming back.”
As chef concierge, Bobbi interjects authenticity and well-being through the pulse of InterContinental Chicago O’Hare. She believes the hotel is successful (it continuously ranks among the Top 5 performers of InterContinental North America) because it utilizes the collective strength of its diverse team – old, young, ethnic, etc. Bobbi’s personal key to success is making guests comfortable.
“It’s about being proactive and doing whatever is required to make them feel like they’re home with family,” Bobbi says.
