NEW YORK
Meliá Hotels International will bring a fresh lifestyle-business experience - with contemporary design and the latest technology - to New York City’s NoMad neighborhood when it opens the new INNSIDE Manhattan in 2016.
As part of its growth strategy, Meliá plans on opening new hotel projects in key gateway cities such as New York, Miami and Los Angeles. The properties will be geared towards both leisure and business tourism and supported by the company's Mediterranean heritage and international leadership in the leisure tourism segment.
“It has long been a goal for us to establish a presence in New York City, and Manhattan specifically, with INNSIDE by Meliá, which is already a tremendously successful brand in Europe,” says Gabriel Escarrer, vice chairman and CEO of Meliá.
The new INNSIDE Manhattan will be located in a 20-story new ground-up construction building on West 27th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, a few minutes away from the Empire State building, and a short distance from Times Square.
With 313 rooms, a three-meal restaurant, bar and meeting rooms, the new INNSIDE will complement the flourishing development surrounding the NoMad area and Flower District.
