NEWARK, N.J.
The Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott in New Jersey has made some major upgrades. Not only has its 30,000 square feet of event space been overhauled and improved, but the lobby has received significant design attention to enhance its functionality and aesthetic.
Offering the newest meeting space in the area, the hotel now encompasses a 10,000-square-foot ballroom with the capacity to display vehicles and even airplanes for awe-inspiring exhibits. LED lighting, meanwhile, is an eco-friendly complement to the ballroom's cutting-edge technology.
But groups don't have to book the ballroom to enjoy the recent upgrades. The hotel now offers a total of 51 different meeting rooms, all updated and outfitted for productive gatherings of any size.
With a new lobby that celebrates Marriott's Greatroom concept, the hotel invites travelers to sit down, have a bite to eat and relax. Seating options range from communal tables for friendly gatherings, to cozy chairs by the fireplace, to pods where guests can plug in and catch up on the day's work. Ottomans and other movable furnishings ensure visitors have the flexibility to make themselves at home, and an abundance of outlets promises no guest will have to go without his/her electronic device.
Whether in need of a quick snack or full dinner, guests can take advantage of the 5, 10, 20 menu, which delivers food in as many minutes, depending on what he/she orders. This accommodates conference delegates who have only a few minutes between meetings as well as those who want to enjoy a leisurely meal.
The remodeling of the lobby and meeting space comprise the final phase of a hotel-wide renovation.
The 585 guest rooms and six suites feature high-speed Internet access, marble bathrooms and luxurious linens to leave guests refreshed and ready to enjoy the hotel's many other amenities like the 24-hour fitness center and indoor/outdoor pool. Two dining options include Aviation Grill for American food and the aforementioned 5, 10, 20 menu of The Greatroom, which serves time-conscious travelers in the newly remodeled lobby.
The hotel is close to a variety of attractions like Liberty State Park, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and New York City.
