TORONTO
Starwood Hotels & Resorts launched a $90 million renovation of the Sheraton Centre Toronto. The project will update the property's 1,371 guest rooms and suites.
The brand's Canadian flagship property will begin construction in November of 2014 and completion is scheduled for 2015.
All guest rooms and suites will be fully refurbished, with a wall-mounted television, upgraded bathroom fixtures, a modern HVAC system and upgraded Internet connectivity. Floors and wall finishes will be replaced in public hallways, and two new guest rooms will be added.
The hotel recently completed a $13 million retrofit of all guest room windows to reduce energy consumption and updated meeting space, adding two new ballrooms to bring the total space available to more than 130,000 square feet.
