KANSAS CITY, Mo.
The Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at the Crown Center and The Westin Kansas City at the Crown Center completed $22 million in upgrades last year.
The two-year project also updated the lobbies and meeting spaces in both hotels.
The complex now offers 1,454 guest rooms and 150,000 square feet of function space, plus Kansas City skyline views. Event facilities include 52 meeting rooms, 30 parlors, two ballrooms each seating up to 2,000 people and myriad breakout spaces.
The hotels are located in the Hallmark Crown Center district and connected by a climate-controlled glass skywalk, offering easy access to more than 60 shops and restaurants.
The Westin hotel also debuted its new Tangent flexible meeting space. The 260-square-foot room can be booked on demand and holds 4-6 people, with sophisticated technology offerings.
