The Sheraton Charlotte is in the final stages of a multimillion-dollar renovation, updating guest rooms, the lobby, corridors and public spaces, the Sheraton Club Lounge, restaurant, fitness center and outdoor pool.
Following the opening of the Sheraton, Starwood Hotels also unveiled the Le Meridien Charlotte earlier this year.
The two hotels occupy two towers within a large complex that was the former home of the Blake Hotel. Both hotels are within walking distance of Time Warner Cable Arena, the Charlotte Convention Center and lightrail transportation.
The Sheraton offers 306 guest rooms and the Le Meridien has 305. Each property has its own entrance and lobby, but they share parking, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness facility and 55,000 square feet of meeting space. There are six restaurants in total.
