LAS VEGAS
Golden Nugget Las Vegas invested $6.5 million to transform its 20,000-square-foot Convention Center into a modern business space. The upgrades were officially unveiled on March 13.
The project was spearheaded by the development team at Landry’s Inc., Golden Nugget’s parent company, and included a complete overhaul of the existing Convention Center footprint, including new flooring, enhanced lighting, new wall coverings, upgraded technology and a high-tech digital signage system throughout the existing space.
This reinvention of the Convention Center now provides both convention and event organizers with a new and exciting product for their attendees.
The Convention Center now houses 13 breakout rooms, which can then be customized for individual group needs, as well as the 5,000-square-foot Bel Air Room that includes a pre-function foyer.
Additional convention space at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas includes the 12,000-square-foot Grand Event Center located on the casino floor.
The renovation also involved a makeover of the Golden Nugget’s building entrance located at the intersection of Carson Street and First Street, steps away from a new cascading staircase that leads directly to the Convention Center, allowing for an improved traffic flow.
Anchoring the staircase is a beautiful 12,000 pound chandelier made up of 209 glass tubes and designed exclusively for the Golden Nugget Las Vegas by the Landry’s Inc. development team.
The Golden Nugget plans to unveil additional improvement projects soon.
The Golden Nugget now offers more than 2,400 deluxe guest rooms and suites; a high-energy casino; nightly entertainment; multiple restaurants such as Grotto Italian Ristorante and Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse; a luxury spa and salon; and The Tank, a year-round outdoor swimming pool complete with a large live shark aquarium and the new H20 poolside lounge.
