Georgia Island Resort Wraps Big Boost

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.

The Ardent Companies, owner of the Sea Palms Resort and Conference Center, and Valor Hospitality Partners, the property's management company, announced that key property enhancements have been completed on the resort's conference center, restaurant & lounge, accommodations and pool area.

Among the notable enhancements are:

  • Guest rooms with a new bedding package, flat screen TVs and balconies.
  • Golf course with new bunkers, reseeded greens, decorative sea grass, and other upgrades.
  • Conference Center redesign, including all meeting rooms; changes in lighting, carpet, AV, and connectivity; new meeting rooms, now totaling 10,000 square feet.
  • The relocation of an intimate guest registration area to the main building.
  • A new health club, and pool upgrades, including cabanas and an outdoor fireplace.
  • A multitude of activities have been added to create and enhance guest/ member experience.

The resort is also introducing a new restaurant concept, The Public House at Sea Palms Resort, which will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. It will be available to members, hotel guests and the local community and will focus on innovative small plates.

Michelin-awarded Executive Chef Matt Gray, who is the driving force behind Valor's international food and beverage operations, leads the restaurant's culinary team.

Sea Palms Resort is located in St. Simons in the Golden Isles of the Georgia coast, and offers hotel-style deluxe guest rooms, executive studios and one, two or three-bedroom suites with porches and sun decks; more than 10,000 square feet of conference and function space; restaurant and bar that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; 27-hole golf course, driving range, two swimming pools, fitness center, clay tennis courts, biking, horseshoes and volleyball.
