VICTORIA, British Columbia
DoubleTree by Hilton opened the brand's first property on Vancouver Island with the new DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria.
Previously the Executive House Hotel, this 181-room DoubleTree opens following a multimillion-dollar property-wide renovation, including a complete redesign of the lobby, public space and guest rooms.
The hotel is located downtown, steps from Victoria's Inner Harbour, boutique shops, whale watching, museums and many arts and cultural activities. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria is owned by Executive House Ltd. and managed by Mairet Consulting and Management Ltd.
"DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria marks the first hotel for our brand on picturesque Vancouver Island, offering guests the perfect escape where they can relax, rejuvenate and have the best experiences this marvelous destination has to offer," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
The 19-story hotel, located directly across from the Victoria Conference Centre, is the perfect home to business and leisure travelers and conference attendees alike. A modern west-coast style design is enhanced by natural earth tones and art from local artist, Anne Griffiths, is featured throughout the hotel.
Guest rooms include a mix of single rooms, and one- and two-bedrooms suites, all equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, 48" TVs and large ergonomic work space.
The hotel offers 89 suites that each feature a separate living area with pullout queen sofa bed and dining areas. All of the guest rooms offer breathtaking views, including the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Mountain Range or scenic downtown Victoria. Additional complimentary amenities include a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center with all new equipment, Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour connectivity center located in the lobby.
As part of the hotel's comprehensive renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria reopens its restaurant, Bartholomew's English-Style Pub, where guests can unwind with a pint from an extensive list of local beers on tap while listening to live music every Thursday through Sunday.
The hotel has plans to upgrade its on-site meeting facilities with an additional 13,000 square feet of space in 2016, and it is adjacent to the Victoria Conference Centre, featuring 82,000 square feet of meeting and event space, large enough for up to 2,000 attendees, attracting average conferences of 450 to 1,000 delegates.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria participates in the Hilton HHonors loyalty program, which is open to all guests and free to join.
