NEW YORK CITY
Virgin Hotels and Lam Group broke ground on Virgin Hotels New York on Friday, Sept. 25. The 465-room hotel will be located on the southwest corner of 30th and Broadway and is expected to open in 2018.
The 39-story building housing Virgin Hotels New York will include banquet, meeting, conference and open workspace, multiple food and beverage outlets on the lower tower floors, a rooftop skybar, expansive outdoor terraces, a pool and spa, and 90,000 square feet of retail space.
Virgin Hotels New York will be the flagship Virgin Hotels property once it is completed. The Virgin Hotels Chicago is now open, with Nashville, New York and Dallas properties on the way.
The brand is also reportedly exploring additional lodging options in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and London.
