Uber announced it was expanding its UberEVENTS service in a recent post on its website. UberEVENTS is marketed as a self-service solution that allows hosts to buy rides in advance for their guests.
The meeting or event planner can start by sharing some details about the event with Uber, which will then work with the planner to set up the desired amount of rides.
Notable services include the option to create an event at uber.com/events, receive guest passes via email and then send passes to attendees so that they are guaranteed a ride at the end of the night. Attendees enter the predetermined code in the Uber app to request a ride to the event.
There is no exact numbers on how many people UberEVENTS can accommodate, but it is described as working for weddings, conferences, dinners, private parties and more on the official post.
