DoubleTree Golf Resort Debuts in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.

DoubleTree by Hilton announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs, a contemporary 289-room full service hotel located a short distance from downtown Palm Springs and three miles from Palm Springs International Airport. The property features 18,000 square feet of meeting space.

Previously the Desert Princess Palm Springs Golf Resort, the property recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation including a total redesign of the lobby, guest rooms, meeting rooms and restaurants, as well as the addition of a new bar. The hotel is managed by Evolution Hospitality.

"Situated below the breathtaking San Jacinto Mountains, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is a true desert oasis, complete with a 27-hole championship golf course, nine tennis courts and a full-service spa," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.

Offering an upscale retreat, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs features a contemporary look with mid-century design elements. The interior of the hotel, created by L.A.-based Rodrigo Vargas Design, was inspired by Palm Springs' landscape, marked by natural textures, granite, marble and walnut wood, and custom artwork throughout. The hotel's guest rooms and suites all have patios or balconies with notable views, 48" HDTVs, mini-refrigerators and the Sweet Dreams bed experience.

Complimentary amenities include Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, an Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool, two hot tubs, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 24-hour business center.

Featuring 18,000 square feet of flexible event space, including two ballrooms and 12 meeting rooms, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs offers an ideal venue for meetings and events of up to 580 people. For smaller group meetings, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $72 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting Wi-Fi, meeting room supplies, and all-day non-alcoholic beverage service. Catering services are also available.

DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs also announced two new food and beverage options. As part of the hotel's transformation, Polanco Kitchen offers Southern Californian inspired fare with a Baja twist, with dishes such as Tajin crusted salmon, bacon wrapped achiote prawns and the house specialty braised short ribs. Guests can also choose to relax in the new Mira Bar, featuring signature cocktails like its blue agave margarita and a selection of local craft beers complemented with awe-inspiring views.

Located near downtown Palm Springs, DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs is convenient to a number of local attractions. Guests can take in views of the area on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, shop the Desert Hills Premium Outlets or the El Paseo Shopping District, roll the dice at a nearby casino or explore desert wildlife at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.
