Moon World Resorts Inc. (MWR), a Canadian architectural design, intellectual property developer and licensor, intends to bring the Moon to planet earth for all to enjoy!
In a world rewarding disrupters, MOON says it will aim to fulfill a void within the resort destination space “where square-box mediocrity and repetitious offerings have become the norm.”
MOON USA will rise in the City of Coachella, situated in California's desert region known as the Coachella Valley. Perfectly triangulated between the world-renowned cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, the Coachella Valley already welcomes some 12 million annual visitors.

MOON USA claims it will be the world's “most innovative, inspiring and environmentally sensitive mega-resort destination” completed to and operating under LEED Platinum standards. An “architectural and engineering wonder,” brought to life by over 100 world-class and award-winning companies.

Rick Searfoss, USAF retired. “MOON's guests will enjoy a space-analog experience unmatched on planet Earth and exceeded only by actually flying to space.”
MOON USA says it will showcase the next generation of innovative technology throughout its various resort components. Including the construction of a 10 acre lunar surface; incorporating an operational, fully functional and totally realistic lunar colony set within the world's tallest sphere (750 feet).
Additionally MOON will feature a 4,000 all-suite, five-star internationally branded hotel, 10,000 seat flexible event center, a two million-square-foot state-of-the-art convention center, transformational and holistic health/wellness/spa, and an innovative night club, beach club and university. Other additions include entertainment attractions, star chef restaurants serving organic and sustainable menus, sports facilities, boutique shopping and more features to be announced as the project moves forward.
MOON USA's capital budget will be $4 billion, delivering a projected unsurpassed resort industry annual $0.7 Billion EBITDA for its regional licensee. MWR is currently in talks with various global entertainment corporations who have indicated interest in the regional license for MOON USA.
Following a 24 month permitting and entitlement process MOON USA will undergo a 48 month build out timeframe with official opening planned for 2022. During the single phase construction program, MOON USA will require 3,000 construction workers; when complete 8,000 direct permanent Coachella Valley careers will be created, additionally many thousands of indirect regional jobs will be created.
MOON USA says it expects to welcome five million annual guests upon completion of the project.
