LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.
The Bricton Group revealed it is the new management company for the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort and Theatre in Lincolnshire, Ill. The company already partners with Marriott on multiple properties.
The 175-acre Marriott Lincolnshire Resort features 389 luxurious guest rooms, 40,000 square feet of stunning meeting space and outdoor venues, an 18-hole championship golf course and the multi-award winning Marriott Theatre, which has the largest subscription base of a live musical theatre in the U.S.
“This is one of the more famous properties in the Chicagoland area, and we’re proud to be a part of it,” said Edward Doherty, president of The Bricton Group. “Managing the hotel, the golf club and the theater is a natural extension of our experience in operating hotels on the North Shore.”
Part of the new management team at the hotel includes General Manager Eric Bates, who has worked for The Bricton Group for eight years and Marriott for 15. Bates has extensive experience with resort properties, including his most recent position at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. Terry James, who has been associated with the Marriott Theatre for more than 25 years, will continue as executive producer.
“The Marriott Theatre is one of the most loved and unique live theaters in the U.S.,” said James. “I’m looking forward to continuing to innovate at the theater and produce great shows for our subscribers, as The Bricton Group takes the hotel and the property into the next decade and beyond.”
Part of The Bricton Group’s vision for the hotel’s future includes a $22 million renovation planned for late 2016 or early 2017. The renovation will include all parts of the resort including upgrades to the exterior of the building, new signage, King’s Wharf restaurant, and reinventing the public spaces.
Award-winning global design firm The Gettys Group will provide its interior design, branding, procurement and program management expertise for the extensive renovation of the resort.
