Shreveport-Bossier Updates Site for Planners

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, La.

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau launched a redesigned website, with updates to better serve visitors and meeting planners. Planners can access industry specific information by clicking ‘Meetings’ on the top of the homepage or directly via the dedicated meetings URL.

The new site includes an advanced meeting facility search, online forms to request site visits and submit requests for proposals, and a responsive design for meeting planners to access the site on mobile devices and tablets. The dedicated meeting planners tab on the site also provides a complete list of local business and resources to assist in planning conferences, booking incentives and more.

The site also features multimedia-enhanced listings for casinos, attractions, restaurants and hotels, TripAdvisor and Google Maps integration, a built-in trip planner, responsive geo-triggers for nearby listings and events and integrated social feeds from Instagram and Facebook.

“We proudly invite meeting planners to spend some time exploring our new website,” said David Bradley, VP of convention and group tour sales and service at the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. “The new site is a great-looking, user-friendly way for today’s travelers and meeting planners to find out about the most interesting things to see, taste and experience [in the area].”

The tourist bureau offers up to $3,000 to new business clients for hosting meeting in Shreveport-Bossier through a rewards program. News & Engagement Editor Eric Andersen was recently able to visit the Shreveport-Bossier area, and interested planners can read more about the trip here.
