Austin CC Renovates Guest Rooms

AUSTIN, Texas

The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center (ATTEECC) completed a renovation of its 297 guest rooms and suites. The new accommodations feature a brand-new look and updated tech.

The four-month renovation enhanced the guest rooms to provide more comfort, convenience and a modern feel for guests. The renovation included: a new television, wood floor entry, new double pillow top mattresses, more electrical outlets and USB at the bedside and desk, LED lighting fixtures, new desks, new shades, new refreshment area featuring large refrigerator, and new seating.

In-room iPads include newspaper, alarm clock and weather app functions; details about the hotel; outlet menus; and an exclusive search tool to curate Austin attractions and activities in real-time.

The rooms continue to feature the smart guest-detecting thermostats, and guests will have the opportunity to participate in the property’s Green Room Sustainability Program.

“This renovation has evolved our rooms to a completely different experience to meet both the comfort and technology needs of our guests,” said Keith Purcell, director of sales and marketing at the ATTEECC.

Additionally, ATTEECC replaced the carpet in their three-story conference center in 2015. All of these updates were completed using ATTEECC operational funds. The Robert B. Rowling Hall will open in July 2017 with an additional 15,000-square-foot ballroom and 5,000 square feet of pre-function space.

The ATTEECC includes a total of 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
