AccorHotels, the largest hotel provider based in Europe, announced the acquisition of onefinestay, a hospitality company specializing in luxury serviced home rental, for $169 million. The Paris-based AccorHotels also made a $73 million dollar commitment to help the company expand internationally.
Onefinestay is tailored toward leisure and business guests who can hand-pick private homes with made-to-measure, personal service from a personal welcome on arrival to a team on call 24/7. The vacation and business rental service is along the lines of what Airbnb offers, but with a more luxurious slant.
Launched in 2010 in London by Greg Marsh (CEO and co-founder), Demetrios Zoppos, Tim Davey and Evan Frank (co-founders), onefinestay today operates a portfolio of 2,600 properties under exclusive management with strategic locations in London, New York, Paris, Los Angeles and Rome.
Onefinestay will remain an independent business unit within the AccorHotels Group.
