PROVIDENCE, R.I.
The Omni Providence Hotel, which is connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center, announced the completion of renovations made to the West tower of the luxurious property.
This marks the end of a $15 million investment made to the property. Recognized as the largest hotel in the state, renovations to the guest rooms, landings and public spaces introduce fresh designs that complement elements of local New England flair. The fabric selections and finished layer of scarlets and crimson reds with deep chocolates and champagne tones bring a contemporary flair to the hotel.
The newly renovated guest rooms seek to exude a sense of sophistication and rejuvenation, while a custom art package brings the Providence waterfront and landmarks to the guest room entry. Each room features new vinyl wallcoverings and carpeting with geometric designs, custom bedding and drapery, plush seating, artwork and modern decorative lighting. The upgrades in the guest bathrooms include new vanities, wallcoverings, illuminated mirrors, and new finishes and materials.
“The Omni Providence Hotel showcases the look and feel of New England,” said Burnell Goldman, hotel general manager. “We have made the hotel a focal point of Providence, and everything from the design, décor, culinary experience and amenities is reflective of this great city.”
Additionally, the guest corridors and elevator lobbies received new carpeting, furnishing, wallcoverings, paint, contemporary light fixtures and artwork. The custom-designed carpet pulls elements of the state tree, the red maple, together with gold tones, crimson reds and chocolate.
Previously completed renovations to the Omni Providence Hotel included new furniture and carpeting in the open-air lobby and entirely redecorated meeting spaces. All breakout rooms and ballrooms received new wallcoverings and carpeting, specially designed to weave into new artwork at the hotel.
Morsel’s, the hotel’s coffee shop, was completely redesigned to make room for more comfortable bar and table seating. The hotel’s indoor, heated pool, one of the only pools in downtown Providence, was updated with lightweight wicker furniture and a new deck made of chilewich basket weave.
Located in the heart of downtown, the hotel offers 564 luxurious guest rooms and suites. It is in close proximity to historic attractions, gourmet restaurants, upscale shopping and entertainment. The Omni Providence Hotel also offers nearly 23,000 square feet of meeting space on-site at the property.
