Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants launched its first Caribbean property, Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, along the famed Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. Seafire marks the boutique hotel company's first foray into the international luxury resort market and Grand Cayman's first new hotel in more than a decade.
The resort pays tribute to the classic Caymanian culture and authentic aesthetic while introducing modern elements and sophisticated-yet-playful amenities for an enriching and innovative stay.
Perched 24 feet above sea level, nearly every one of Seafire's 266 guest rooms includes a private balcony with views of ocean waters and lush landscapes. Seafire's three freestanding beachside bungalows offer loft-like one- and two-bedroom layouts, enhanced amenities and exclusive views.
"Grand Cayman was the perfect choice for Kimpton's first island resort, with an ideal location right on Seven Mile Beach," said Steven Andre, Seafire general manager. "Seafire embodies the spirit and culture of the destination, and will allow guests the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in island life."
From its signature restaurant Ave to its casual beach bar Coccoloba, all three of Seafire's diverse destination restaurants are helmed by Executive Chef Massimo De Francesca and share a common love of fresh, uncomplicated ingredients. Foodies will especially love Avecita's nine-seat chefs' bar, featuring an ever-changing, seasonally significant dining experience prepared around a wood-fired grill.
Kimpton Seafire also provides a tropical backdrop for business or social gatherings. The resort's indoor and outdoor meeting space includes the 7,076-square-foot Aurea Ballroom, the 10th-floor Presidential Suite, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and the expansive Seabridge Green event lawn for beachside daytime or evening occasions. The resort offers 20,000 square feet of total event space.
Kimpton Seafire's culinary team aims to bring a Caymanian flair to all events, with inspired menus brimming with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients, paired with top wines and craft cocktails.
The resort's amenities continue with the 8,500-square-foot Spa at Seafire, which features seven treatment rooms with a full array of services. The spa also features a Turkish style Hammam, the only one of its kind in Grand Cayman. Seafire also offers a brand-new, 1,770-square-foot fitness center.
