Cape Coral, Fla.
The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village announced the appointment of Kristen Goodnow as group sales manager.
In her new role, Goodnow will work alongside the director of sales and marketing to maximize revenue by driving group bookings and promoting the resort’s new meeting and events center, slated to open early 2018.
“Having a background in the operations side of hospitality and a solid foundation of Florida-based meetings and conventions sales experience, Goodnow is poised for success as the resort expands its meetings and events capabilities,” said Michele Frank, director of sales and marketing, The Westin Cape Coral. “With the addition of a 30,000-square-foot meeting and events center, we couldn’t be more excited to have her on board.”
Most recently, Goodnow served as senior sales manager at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa where she was responsible for accounts in the Midwest and Florida markets. Prior sales experience includes serving as national sales manager at the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau in R.I., director of sales at Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek in Fort Lauderdale and account executive at the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Orlando. Before transitioning to sales roles, Goodnow held various operational positions including night auditor, front desk, reservations manager and night manager.
A graduate of Florida International University, Goodnow has a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management.
