A new offsite venue opened in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, and one is coming to the greater Minneapolis area this spring. Plus, see two historic hotel reimaginations in Indiana and Wisconsin.

Downtown Chicago has a new private event space, the historic Hotel at Old Town in Wichita, Kansas debuted a new renovation and Visit Quad Cities announced its partnership with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program.

Following an 18-month, $51 million project, the newly renovated Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland (HCCC) celebrated its grand opening and expansion earlier this summer and welcomed the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) as the first group to use the newly expanded space in August. 

The highly anticipated $240 million transformation of the Cincinnati Convention Center began in July and is expected to be completed by December 2025, with bookings already underway for 2026 and beyond.

Chicago’s largest hotel and the largest Hyatt in the world, Hyatt Regency Chicago, completed a $150 million renovation, renovations to Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown transformed both the interior and exterior of the hotel and the AAA Four-Diamond Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, a Marcus Hotels & Resorts destination located in Lake Geneva, completed a full renovation of its meeting and event spaces in May.

Following a $90 million restoration that took almost a decade’s-worth of careful planning, the historic Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection has completed its monumental renovation in downtown Cleveland and celebrated its grand reopening earlier this month.
