Spirit Airlines announced it will, on May 3, launch non-stop service from Denver International Airport to its four largest bases: Chicago O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas. Spirit will also make connections from those destinations available to 29 additional cities throughout the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America.“We understand that Denver has been looking for an ultra low cost carrier and we are here to satisfy that need,” said Spirit’s Chief Marketing Officer Barry Biffle.Added Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “Spirit’s daily service to Denver offers Chicagoans a new, super low fare option on this popular route and further expands the multitude of flight offerings at Chicago’s airports.”
