DALIAN, Liaoning Province, China
Hard Rock International announced plans for the Hard Rock Hotel Dalian, in collaboration with China-based Luneng Real Estate Group. Located in China's northeastern Liaoning Province, the 200-room Hard Rock Hotel Dalian, a new-build, oceanfront resort will soon rise on Dalian's Golden Beach.
With projects currently underway in Shenzhen and Haikou, Hard Rock Hotel Dalian will be the brand's third property in Mainland China upon completion in 2018.
"With the Chinese travel industry quickly changing as leisure demand grows, we feel the music-centric programming at Hard Rock Hotels will resonate well with Chinese travelers who visit Dalian each year," states Leong Wy Joon, senior VP of hotel development, Asia and India at Hard Rock International.
Bordering the Yellow Sea, Dalian is recognized as one of China's major tourist destinations, drawing more than five million visitors each year with its expansive coastlines and easily accessible beaches.
To support the upcoming project, Hard Rock International in collaboration with China-based Luneng Real Estate Group, the developers of the project, will create the "Hard Rock Hotels Preview Center" – a fully branded experiential space located directly adjacent to the hotel's building site.
Set to open spring 2016, the Preview Center will allow for both locals and travelers to become familiar with the Hard Rock Hotels brand by engaging with multiple signature offerings, such as enjoying priceless music memorabilia from Hard Rock's collection of more than 80,000 items.
The initial news release from Hard Rock gave no details on meeting and event space.
