Nestled in the heart of downtown Long Beach and 25 miles south of Los Angeles sits the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach, a historic hotel that just completed a multimillion-dollar renovation project. Originally built in 1926, the hotel features 185 guest rooms, including 22 suites, that range from 287 to 790 square feet.
The property also features just under 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including ballrooms, meeting rooms and an outdoor reception terrace. It also offers a two-story fitness center, a 10,000-square-foot luxury spa and multiple bars and restaurants.
Colorado
Located on the banks of the Eagle River, the Silver LEED-certified Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley completed renovations to its 230 guest rooms. These upgrades include new beds, artwork, lighting, flooring, bathroom vanities and more.
Continuing its leading efforts in sustainability, the resort donated all previous room furnishings to Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley and Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley to help support the creation of safe and affordable homes.
The Westin Riverfront offers more than 23,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including the 4,000-square-foot Riverside Ballroom and a 2,000-square-foot outdoor banquet terrace. The resort also features 27,000 square feet of spa, fitness and wellness facilities and offers 50 group exercise classes per week including Master Swim, Peloton, Pilates Barre, Vinyasa Flow, TRX and Aerial Yoga.
Nevada
Circa Resort & Casino, located in downtown Las Vegas, completed an expansion project to add 106 new guest rooms and suites to its 458-foot-tall hotel tower. The new development at the adults-only resort increases its room capacity by 20% and includes suites, double king, single king and premium single king room types.
The property also features 35,000 square feet of meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees, including venues such as a ballroom, breakout and banquet rooms, adjacent prefunction space and a 1,600-square-foot outdoor terrace.
The resort offers unique amenities such as a pool amphitheater, a 17,000-square-foot steakhouse and the world’s largest sportsbook.
SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas, a restaurant located on the second level of The Palazzo Tower at The Venetian Resort, has unveiled its new private dining and events space, SAMBAROOM. The venue offers a unique setting for both intimate gatherings and large-scale events that is able to accommodate anywhere between 10 and 200 attendees. SAMBAROOM features four distinct dining areas that can be used individually or together to accommodate a wide variety of events.
Healthy Living Made Easy
Hotel Valley Ho is the first hotel in Arizona to become a Blue Zones Project Approved worksite.
The Blue Zones Project is an initiative spearheaded by Blue Zones Founder and National Geographic Fellow Dan Buettner to create healthier communities across the United States by implementing nine specific lifestyle habits of the world’s longest-living people. Blue Zones works to make healthy choices easier where people live, work, learn and play through optimizing policy, urban design, food systems and social networks.
Hotel Valley Ho has integrated several Blue Zones Project initiatives across the property, including creating dedicated wellness spaces for employees to take breaks and relax. The hotel also created bike storage areas to encourage employees to bike to work, offers a daily salad bar and provides mental health and other wellness support, such as self-monitoring blood pressure equipment and a committee to drive wellness initiatives.
The hotel’s signature restaurant, ZuZu, has also been recognized as a Blue Zones Project site and has incorporated health-conscious dining options such as a loaded sweet potato, roasted honey nut squash and mushroom bolognese.
